Cuenca Ecuador real estate: homes for sale and custom builds
A UNESCO World Heritage city in the southern Andes with spring weather all year and a community that already made the move.
Why Cuenca
Cuenca sits in a highland valley in Azuay province. Its historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999, and the city has hospitals, universities and a regional airport.
The climate is mild all year: an annual average near 16 °C (60 °F), with days around 21 °C (70 °F) and nights near 11 °C (52 °F). No heating season, no air conditioning.
Local publications estimate several thousand foreign residents, mostly from the United States and Canada, so English-speaking neighbors, doctors and services are easy to find.
Figures are approximate and come from public sources; see our brief for each reference.
